Pancragen Research Information

Pancreatic Support Tetrapeptide

KEDA Tetrapeptide Bioregulator for Pancreatic Research

Important: This information is for educational and research purposes only. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before use.

What is Pancragen?

Pancragen is a synthetic tetrapeptide bioregulator with the amino acid sequence Lys-Glu-Asp-Ala (KEDA), part of the Khavinson peptide bioregulator family initially isolated from pancreatic tissue.

Pancragen has emerged as a promising molecular tool for investigating pancreatic function, islet cell biology, and endocrine regulation in research models.

Mechanism of Action

DNA Interaction

Penetrates cell nuclei and binds to specific DNA sequences

Pancreatic Cell Regulation

Regulates pancreatic cell function and tissue homeostasis

Epigenetic Effects

Modulates chromatin structure and gene expression patterns

Endocrine Research

Islet cell function, insulin regulation, pancreatic endocrine studies

Metabolic Research

Glucose metabolism, pancreatic enzyme regulation

Tissue Regeneration

Pancreatic tissue repair, regenerative medicine studies

Digestive Research

Pancreatic exocrine function, digestive enzyme studies

Clinical Studies

  • Pancragen demonstrates tissue-specific regulatory activity on pancreatic cells
  • Modulates gene expression in pancreatic tissue models
  • Part of the Khavinson peptide bioregulator system targeting pancreatic tissues
